Although appearing exclusively as a boss, the 2019 Silksong press kit labeled Trobbio's art under the NPCs section. Named after his voice actor Matt Trobbiani, creator of Hacknet.

Antecedentes

Trobbio lives for spectacle. Spotlights follow him even beneath the floorboards, and every move is a flourish. His arsenal splits into grounded and airborne variants of Whirlwind, Fireworks, and Smoke, interwoven with leaps, glides, and stage tricks. Despite the theatrics, each attack has clean telegraphs and set follow‑ups if you learn his show.

Eventos en el juego

Found at The Stage, complete with desk and props. Defeat awards the Claw Mirror and access to ‘Vaultkeeper's Melody.’ If you loot the red quill on his desk before obtaining any Quill, you permanently get red‑tinted Quill and Map & Quill sprites.

Comportamiento y tácticas

All hits are 2 Masks; Whirlwind chains can deal 2 in rapid succession. Two spotlights track him at all times. Phase 1: • Whirlwind: Spins into a tornado dash. Ends by tossing two mini‑whirlwinds upward in opposite arcs. Side hits can’t hurt him during the spin; his head remains vulnerable. Air version arcs down first. • Fabulous Fireworks: Small hop, five large spark circles appear then explode on delay (air version similar). • Smoke Bombs: Throws three grenades that bounce, then emit horizontal or vertical smoke pillars at staggered timings (air version ricochets off the ceiling). • Flying Leap → Flutter: Vertical spring into aerial glide, cancelable into air attacks. • Floorboard Shuffle: Dives into the floor and emerges opposite; variant ‘Hidden Smoke Bombs’ throws three bombs from a hatch mid‑tunnel. • Whirlwind Dodge / Flourish: Quick defensive dash; short dashes to reposition with showy poses. Phase 2 (350 HP): • Pyrotechnics: He vanishes underfloor; five fire pillars erupt at staggered spots. He launches out of the fifth pillar into an air attack or glide. Replaces Hidden Smoke Bombs. Tips: • Smoke can be batted aside but still hurts on contact; respect the pillars. • Mini whirlwinds’ hitboxes are larger than they look. • Whirlwind path doesn’t end by distance—jump it. • Use his long windups to counter with charged hits or aerial downstrikes.

Curiosidades

  • Debuted in the announcement trailer, later named in a blog post.
  • One of few franchise bosses who canonically survive multiple bouts (with Hornet and Lace).
