An enormous hardshell creature dwelling within Pharloom's ancient bell network, traversing through metallic passages. This particular specimen has formed an alliance with me - whether from gratitude for liberation or mutual respect between warriors remains unclear. Regardless of motivation, such companionship proves invaluable.

Antecedentes

A colossal entity inhabiting Pharloom's intricate bell transportation system, this creature spends its existence traveling through the metallic veins connecting distant locations. Following her rescue from silk imprisonment, she transforms from adversary into ally, becoming Hornet's primary means of rapid transit.

Eventos en el juego

Discovery occurs in The Marrow, where silk threads bind her immobile. Using the Silkspear unlocks her restraints, but freedom comes with a price - she immediately turns hostile. Only after proving yourself in combat does she accept Hornet as worthy of partnership, becoming the game's fast travel mount. Her defeat yields the first Silk Heart, plunging Hornet into a silk-woven dream sequence. Upon awakening, you find yourself at the bell station with your new companion waiting patiently. Later in Act 3, all Bellway stations mysteriously stand empty with open cavities where she normally rests. Investigating these openings leads down into the Bellways themselves for a confrontation with the Bell Eater. After you weaken this predator, the Bell Beast returns dramatically to deliver the killing blow. This encounter reveals she has become a mother, now caring for a brood of Beastlings.

Comportamiento y tácticas

Combat primarily unfolds underground as she burrows between attacks, surfacing only to strike. Dust clouds rumbling across the ground telegraph her emergence points. Opening Phase: Her initial attack repertoire includes: • Underground Rush: She tunnels from one arena edge to the opposite side at high speed. The warning dust barely reaches the lowest hanging bell decorations. • Aerial Crash: Launches herself completely airborne before slamming down with tremendous force. She pauses briefly after impact before re-entering the ground. The dust cloud engulfs both foreground bells - noticeably larger than other warnings. Direct contact inflicts 2 Masks of damage. • Bell Volley: Erupts partially from the earth, releasing two rolling bells in opposite directions before descending. This ability unlocks at 120 HP. The dust signature appears notably thinner than other attacks. Escalation Phase (75 HP threshold): She surfaces to roar, triggering eight bells to cascade from the ceiling in random positions - each bounces once before vanishing. Following this spectacle, her existing moves gain enhancements: • Bell Volley now spawns a third projectile near her burrowing spot shortly after the initial pair. • Aerial Crash causes an additional bell to drop from above when she lands. Combat Approach: While her predictable dust telegraphs make avoidance straightforward, observant players can exploit subtle variations in cloud patterns to position for counter-attacks and expedite victory.

Curiosidades

  • Her debut appearance occurred in the initial Silksong reveal trailer, generating significant fan speculation.
  • Audio design enthusiasts note her attack roars bear striking similarity to Ogre vocalizations from the classic shooter Quake.
  • Multiple summoning methods exist beyond standard bell station interaction - playing the Needolin instrument or executing a taunt command at stations also calls her.
  • She exhibits various charming idle behaviors: occasionally sleeping at stations (awoken by bells, attacks, or interaction prompts), purring when Hornet approaches frequently-used stations, and impatiently stamping if you dawdle too long on platforms.
