Old warrior guarding the border of their domain, stiffened by time and awoken by song. They held long at their vigil, far beyond their brethren’s age, yet when roused still swung with remarkable ease.

Background

Last of the Karaka, a living fossil who kept watch long after their people turned to dust. Duty preserved them between life and stone; when stirred, technique returns as if time never passed.

In-Game Events

Late Act 3 optional fight, reachable only after Silk Soar. Hidden in the Sands of Karak; Needolin awakens them from statue‑still vigil. Victory awards the Grey Memento.

Behaviour & Tactics

900 HP. Heavy, deliberate swordplay; all contact and hits punish for 2 Masks. Patterns: • Sword Uppercut: erupts from ground, then falls into a downslash; huge sand clouds obscure vision. • Single → Triple Swing: wide back‑to‑front arc; may pivot before third. • Leap Downslash: jumps toward you and cleaves down. • Parry and Riposte: defensive stance triggers any counter pattern. • Chasedown / Retreat / Leap Retreat: space control. Tips: • Track audio and pre‑sand positioning for Uppercut. • Respect parry; don’t mash into counters. • Heal during long recoveries, not by running. • Left‑edge pit can be used during staggers for bonus damage (they re‑enter via Uppercut).
