Phantom

Phantom is a being woven entirely from Silk, likely crafted by Grand Mother Silk, and sibling to Lace. Their Needolin echoes reveal the torment of being spun to fray and fail. They operate the vast Exhaust Organ at Bilewater's edge, venting noxious steam and silk refuse that create The Mist over Sinner's Road and Bilewater. Long years at this duty left their silken body grey and frayed; they appear ready for a dignified end in battle rather than unwinding into nothing.

Navigating The Mist, you hear Phantom’s organ through the fog and reach the Exhaust Organ facility. Deeper within, Phantom dissolves into mist and reforms in the arena to begin the duel. The final blow always triggers a parry cinematic: attempt the last hit, Phantom parries, both dash apart and charge. A SILK SKILL prompt appears—success kills Phantom; failure deals 2 Masks and restores 60 HP to Phantom. Defeating Phantom grants the Silk Skill Cross Stitch. The Exhaust Organ shuts down permanently: steam vents across Underworks and Bilewater go silent, pipes become safe, The Mist dissipates back into normal Sinner's Road, and a lift opens upward into the Choral Chambers—closing Act 1.

Intro: a steam column shrouds Phantom in back, a second drops them on the left—standing in it deals 2 Masks rapidly. Phase 1: • Flurry Assault: Three rapid jabs while advancing; if you slip behind after the second jab, the third is canceled. • Pin Rush: Throws the longpin horizontally then dashes to retrieve; spans most of the arena. Wall-catch cancels the follow-through dash. • Aerial Pin Rush: Jumps and throws the longpin; after it embeds or reaches max range, Phantom dashes to it. • Parry & Riposte: Raises the longpin to null all damage; striking it triggers a three-slash riposte (each 2 Masks). Can parry mid-air after jumps if pressured. • Retreat Glide: Small backward slide to reset spacing. Phase 2 (227 HP): • Lightfall: Marks your position with a tall white column and spark, then crashes down—2 Masks if caught. Used five times to open Phase 2, then added to rotation. Tips: Maintain spacing; respect Parry windows; pogo over Pin Rush; punish after Lightfall.
